Jeremy is an engaged and highly technical engineering manager. Very shortly after I joined our company, it became apparent to me that Jeremy was a well of organizational and technical knowledge. He was also the point-of-contact on more items and services than I would try to count. "Ask Jeremy" or "Jeremy would know" was a common reply to technical inquiries.

Worked with Jeremy for over a year, we went through few critical projects during that tenure. He helped setup release team, launch external facing website on SharePoint, Upgrade from IIS6 to IIS 7 to name a few key projects.The success of those projects were sheer team work and excellent manager who went beyond his capacity to support the team with his technical abilities and defining processes and acting as a PM. I have worked with Heather for over ten years, and I continue to be impressed by the depth and breadth of her abilities. My first significant work with Heather was as she was instrumental in establishing the user experience discipline at the Bluetooth SIG. In every development effort of my teams, Heather was deep in the mix, guiding the experience we created. While she continued to define the experience for the 30,000 companies of the Bluetooth SIG, she started writing the front-end code. The UX Framework she single-handedly wrote is the UI foundation for most SIG custom applications. The most notable is the qualification application that drives the majority of the revenue for Bluetooth.
At this time, Heather was also well-known for teaching mindfulness classes at the company. They were always very well attended, and the lessons she taught were ever present in her daily work.
In the spring of 2020, we began working under the same management. Heather quickly took control of the product vision for our nascent team and was promoted to Manager of Product Management. The extensive work she had done on understanding the users of Bluetooth SIG informed everything we did. A larger vision of a central and standardized user experience manifested slowly at first and then with increasing focus. As impressive as the vision was, her true talents were just beginning to show.
Heather is a brilliant manager and strategist. She took a team of two very junior people and, over the course of just a couple of years, turned them into some of the most effective people at the company in their roles. One on her team became so effective that they were brought in to coach other teams. Heather demonstrated such skill at mentoring and leading, that our management moved another team (from an unrelated discipline) under her so that she could work her same turnaround magic.
For both of Heather's teams, she crafted a true strategic vision. As we worked together on a shared strategy, she kept us on track by working on strategic statements rather than implementation goals. She is just a natural. Her strategic vision was reviewed and approved by the CEO.
The most impressive thing about Heather isn't her technical insight or ability to craft brilliant strategies. It is how she is fully invested in her team's success. Whether delivering hard news for missed performance goals or fighting for those who deserve recognition, she approaches every situation with mindful intention. I often leaned on her judgment in challenging conditions. Her teams show a dedication and loyalty that is second to none.
She has continually reinvented herself at Bluetooth, and the company is so much better for it. I had the privilege of working alongside Ash for over a year at Bluetooth SIG, where she showcased her expertise as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). During her tenure with us, Ash was not just any SRE; she became a trusted partner with my team and our go-to for everything related to the domain.
Her role was instrumental during our pivotal transition to a genuine DevOps environment. She skillfully trained my team in creating Docker containers and employing Terraform for their deployment in our Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) ecosystem. The foundation she created set the stage for a complete transformation of my team. My team has fully embraced Terraform and now owns the scripting of our environments and is moving to assist other areas of the organization. But Ash's contributions transcended just technical aspects. She redefined the paradigm of collaboration between our software engineering teams and IT operations, setting a standard that we continue to uphold today.
What truly sets Ash apart is her insatiable thirst for knowledge and her aptitude to rapidly grasp and implement novel technologies and processes. Her technical prowess is commendable, but it's her interpersonal skills and teamwork that make her an invaluable asset to any team. Every interaction with her was a joy.
